Kuniyoshi’s paintings

More than 60 signed paintings by Kuniyoshi have been documented.  Also on this website are the ten extant ink and color paintings for the series The 108 Heroes of the Popular Suikoden.

NOTE: This plaque demonstrates three different styles of painting.  The goddess Kwannon (left) is in idealized Buddhist style; the hag (center) is in naturalistic Western style; and the young woman (right) is in flat ukiyo-e style.
