Kuniyoshi Project

An educational website devoted to the ukiyo-e artist, Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861)

I have been collecting images of ukiyo-e prints, mostly from the internet, since 1996 and would like to share these images with all who are interested.  This web site is modeled after Horst Graebner’s Kunisada Project and will be gradually expanded with the goal of becoming a catalogue raisonné of Kuniyoshi’s woodblock prints.

This site does not always work with the Mozilla browser, especially in older computers

Please enjoy the site and help me to complete the series with missing prints and information.  Please send missing (or better) images or information to KuniyoshiProject@earthlink.net.  I would also appreciate suggestions and feedback, as well as reports of ‘typos’ and ‘bugs’.
