Strictly speaking, these are not harimaze. They are pages from a hanshibon size (22 x 16 cm) book. The book, published in 1848, is Stories of the Mannerisms of Ordinary People (Bonbu kuse monogatari, 凡夫癖物語). This series is not listed in Kuniyoshi by Basil William Robinson (Victoria and Albert Museum, London, 1961). I am grateful to Robert Pryor for his contributions of images and information to this section.
